Things to remember when choosing volunteer times:
· Only home games are staffed
· The age groups are:
Mighty Mites are 7 years of age (up to 110 lbs)
Mites are 8 and 9 years of age (Up to 110 lbs)
Peewees are 10 and 11 years of age (Up to 135 lbs)
Midgets are 12, 13 and 14 years of age (Up to 170 lbs)
· Mites, Pee Wees and Midgets have both Varsity and Junior Varsity teams depending on the number of rostered players.
· When are games played:
Varsity Games for all levels except Mighty Mites are played on Sundays; Occasionally a Varsity game will be scheduled on a Saturday night
Junior Varsity Games for all levels except Mighty Mites are played on Saturday mornings.
Mighty Mite Games are not on a set schedule.
. Why are the times to volunteer not listed? How do I know when to show up?
The time for set up and start of the first game is always listed. The next two games immediately follow the first game with no break in-between. The Varsity games generally last an hour to an hour and a half. Junior Varsity games are quicker as they are running time and are usually wrapped up in an hour. Based on that you can guesstimate your arrival time. Please keep in mind that injuries and unforeseen hold-ups on the field can also delay game times.
· You can choose your volunteer times.
It doesn’t matter if it’s the game your child plays or a different game. Sign ups are set up to be as flexible as possible within the structure of our needs.
· Who can complete a family’s volunteer time?
Family members, friends or anyone who is high school age or over (13) can complete the family’s volunteer hours
· You must sign up for your volunteer times – you cannot just “show up” expecting there to be an open spot
· You must sign in every time your volunteer. If you do not sign in you will not receive credit
· Children are not permitted to come into the concession stand or the booth
· Only children 13 and over are allowed to sign up for volunteer time
· Please note that high school students who are working to complete community service hours cannot double dip and count those hours towards a family’s requirement.
· Non-weekend volunteer times are limited; choosing early will provide you with the most options
· I try to email a reminder to the general membership the volunteer assignments for the upcoming weekend. I will also include open spots that need to be filled.
