Player Code of Conduct

I hereby pledge to be positive about my youth sports experience and accept responsibility for my participation by abiding by this Player’s Code of Conduct.

1.      I will respect all coaches at all times, calling them Coach or Mr./Mrs. last name.

2.      I will work hard in school.

3.      I will respect and obey my parents/guardians.

4.      I will respect referees, opponents and coaches at all times.

5.      I will have sportsmanship as my number one priority in all games and practices.

6.      If I have an unsportsmanlike event, it may result in disciplinary action, removal from the event or suspension.  If I have an unsportsmanlike event that is the result of poor interaction with an official, it may result in my season long suspension or removal from the team.

7.      I will not use profanity.

8.      I will encourage my teammates in a positive way, regardless of circumstances or ability.  No form of bullying will be tolerated by me or towards me.

9.      I will attend all scheduled practices and games.  If unable to do so, I will contact my coach beforehand.  There will be consequences, such as loss of playing time, for unexcused absences.

10.  I will do my very best to listen and learn from my coaches, learn the rules of the game and policies of the program established by SLYF.

11.  I will respect, protect and maintain my equipment and uniform.

12.  I will be responsible for the safe keeping and care of all SLYF equipment/uniform that I am loaned each season.

13.  I will conduct myself in a way that presents a positive image for the SLYF Warriors and myself on and off the field.

14.  Uniforms should be neat, clean and complete following all rules set forth by SLYF.

15.  I understand that if I fail to abide by these codes of conduct I will be subject to disciplinary action.
